Look, there is a couple reasons why you need lifting straps so i'm going to list them off.
1. They are great to reserve a machine
2. They add weight to your gym bag
3. They make good whips for when your gym partner suggests chest on leg day.
but actually they are good for the following.
1. Using them to wrap around the barbell for any kind of pull movement.
2. Good for wrapping on dumbbells too.
